i should have interpol music on my person at all times.
also, sometimes i think thoughts like "would i want to be friends with paul banks?" the answer to that is "no" but the answer, when asked, of ben folds is always a "hell yes."
other 'no's include katy perry, karen o, rivers cuomo, and anyone in vampire weekend. 'yes' friends include ben gibbard, jack and/or meg white and chris martin. i can't even think of asking thom yorke to be my friend. i mean, would you ask ghandi to be yours? exactly. it's just silly. on the fence friends include both brandon flowers and ryan adams. i feel brandon would not be interested in me and i find him a bit kooky as it is. the bad kook. ryan adams married mandy moore and she and i share the trait of adorably bland so...i might have that going for me.
you should probably tell me what musicians you'd be great pals with.

I feel like Rivers would be a very flighty friend; he may love you, then a few months later decide he wants nothing to do with you.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be friends with some of the less-threatening Brooklyn hipster musicians. Karen O is kind of intimidating (and willing to wear a leotard in public), but I bet I could hang with Nick Zinner.
